Accueil - FLV Player v2 beta

To help me to finish the development process of my FLV Player as soon as possible, I will add here a public URL to download the FLV Player V2 beta:

This URL will be updated on each release to link the lastest version.

New features in this version are (or will be):

• a real fullscreen
• a file properties window
• the behavior of the window can be ajusted to make it remains or not above the others
• the video can be scaled to respect the original video size ratio or scaled freely
• a menu bar with an auto-hide behavior (it is possible to hide it and use the contextual menu only, as on the previous version)
• a maintained (optional) association with FLV files
• an automatic check for updates and a window to process with the download
• acces to FLV files with URL address, as well as giving its address through any community video sharing service like Youtube, Izlee, Google Video. I would add any others on request and according to possibilities with the website of the service
• a standalone version of the player that maintain file association and user parameters
• some new functionalities still under development which will depends on the integration of a playlist

I would need assistance for the localization. I already have a volunteer for the Spanish translation, but many downloads come from Turkey, I would thus need somebody for the Turkish translation. I would send to each volunteer the complete translation table just before publishing the final version. Each will have the great honnor of being listed with the others in the special thanks menu of the about window.

I would try to make it possible to integrate any relevant request into the player before the final version. But I have little time to work on it and that (believe me or not) requires and have already required me a lot of work, I would thus give the priority to deliver a stable version of the application in its current state as soon as possible.
